rule and situation
Rule Orientation
People with Rule orientation think that rules should be followed in general—by everyone, and at all times—to keep things stable and avoid confusion. People with strong Rule tendencies will follow even a bad rule, rather than break it. They appreciate structure and pay attention to guidelines. They may even point it out when other people break rules.
Situation Orientation
People with Situation tendencies choose whether or not to follow rules based on the situation. They may choose not to follow rules they consider silly or unnecessary, or rules created by authority figures they don’t respect. Oppressive governments may lead to Situation orientation because people don’t respect laws they consider unfair.
